BLM Protestors Could Face Life in Prison For Mischief

Cases like these are vital to watch as the Trump administration cracks down on protests for racial justice, which Gen Z is a big part of.

Several Black Lives Matter Protesters in Utah could face life in prison if they are found guilty of splashing red paint on and breaking windows of the Salt Lake City District Attorney’s office. They are being charged with felony criminal mischief charges with a gang enhancement, the highest degree felony in the state. An attorney representing one of the defendants said “This is usually reserved for murders and rapists,” in response to the charge. Defense lawyers declared a conflict of interest was present in the charges, since the District Attorney was assigning charges for damage to his own office.
