Relevance to Generation Z:
Comments recently surfaced in which Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene agreed that the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018 was a "false flag" action. Families of victims and survivors of the shooting are demanding her resignation in response.
Families of victims and survivors of the deadly Parkland school shooting that took place on February 14, 2018 are demanding the resignation of Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. A liberal news outlet revealed Facebook posts showing her agreement that the massacre was a "false flag" action. Seventeen people died that day at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
The Parkland chapter of March For Our Lives, an organization fighting for more stringent gun control legislation, said in a tweet aimed at Greene, "(T)he shooting at our school was real. Real kids died and our community is still grieving today. You should be ashamed of yourself and resign from congress. Conspiracy theorists don't deserve a seat in the people's house." Other students and families have expressed that Representative Greene's statement did nothing to rectify the situation.
