Why This Matters to Gen Z: After the frenzy on Wall Street surrounding GameStop, there was a lot of confusion about who profited from the mayhem. Hunter Kahn, a Cornell Student, made $30,000 from the frenzy and decided to donate Nintendo products to a Minnesota hospital. Kahn’s compassion shows the best of Gen-Z, and how we can give back during times of crisis.
Khan donated over $2,000 dollars worth of products to children at Children’s Minnesota Hospital.
Kahn wanted to give back after the GameStop frenzy highlighted inequality among small retail traders and large Wall Street Institutions. He felt his actions showed his true feelings towards retail investors, and he is quoted saying “I just wanted to do my part in making sure showing that us retail traders are the good guys in this battle," Kahn said about his donation.
