As cases of Covid-19 surge in the state of Michigan, Democratic Governor, Gretchen Whitmer, implored the residents of her state to voluntarily refrain from attending large gatherings and indoor dining for two weeks in order to stop the spread of the virus. The former commissioner for the FDA said that delivering more vaccines to the state is imperative to stop the spread, and warned that "What's happening in Michigan can spread through the Midwest and can spread to the rest of the country.”
